In 2017 and 2018, the water supply for the clinic, the secondary school and the staff houses was built to provide everyone with clean drinking water. All this has been made possible by the donations we received with the ‘Harvest Thank You Day’ and a gift from thrift store “De Wisselbeker” from Nootdorp.
When the clinic was built, there were problems with the water supply. The water pump on site served to supply water to several buildings, including the clinic, high school, the high school sleeping quarters and the staff houses. Because the hydropower was not high enough to supply all buildings with water, the clinic had no acces to clean drinking water on a regulair base. Water is the base for every human life and clean water is very important in a clinic where sick people are treated. The water pump was therefore phased out in March 2018, which solved this problem.
